Q: How do I use the Ultramarine Colourants?
Answer:

ULTRAMARINE COLOURANT INSTRUCTIONS:
The general rule in colouring your soaps is to colour to taste - meaning, if you like your soaps a light colour, add very little colourants to your base, if you like deep rich coloured soap, add more.
Though the colourants look fantastic alone.....try using two or all three swirled together in one soap!
(can you link: Swirled together to the pic of the BlackTea and Berries soap??)

COLD PROCESSED SOAP MAKING:
Our example is for a mid to light coloured 6 pound batch of CP soap.
For a 6 pound batch of soap, mix approx. 1/4 teaspoon of powder colorants with vegetable glycerin - or spoon 1/4 cup of your soap oils into a Pyrex container and add your Ultramarine Colourant - Stir until all clumps of powder is gone.
When your soap mixture is at trace stir in your colour, then your scent.
If you want your soap darker you can add more colourant.

For a swirled affect. Pour all but 1 cup of soap in mold and then add your mixed color stir (it will be dark) then spoon onto the top of your mold. Drag a spoon through your soap like you would a marble cake.

HOT PROCESSED SOAP MAKING:
Mix the same as above, stir in after you have added you fragrance and stir stir stir!!

MELT AND POUR GLYCERIN SOAP MAKING:
Start with a small amount of Ultramarine Colourant per pound of M&P.
With each colourant addition to your base, stir stir stir until all powder has dissolved into glycerin and all powder clumps are dissolved.
Add more powder until desired colour has been achieved.

Remember, always start with a small amount and work your way up.....
(you can never work your way down!!).

The Ultramarine Colourants are very powerful colourants - a little goes a very long way.
