The Soap Goat Recipes

Refreshing Skin Tonic:
This recipe is designed with Rose Floral Water, Witch Hazel, Glycerin and Essential Oil of Rosewood to provide a refreshing treatment for tired or aging skin. It stimulates the growth of healthy new cells.
The basic formula is worked out for a 180ml bottle.

Base:
80ml Rose Water
55ml Witch Hazel
45ml Distilled or Purified Water

To this base, you will add:
4 drops Glycerin
4 drops Essential Oil of Rosewood

Either make this directly in a bottle, or in a bowl, then transfer into a bottle.

This formula can be altered with your choice of floral water (ie: Ylang Ylang Water with Essential Oil of Ylang Ylang or maybe Lavender Essential Oil with Lavender Water, or Orange Blossom water with Neroli or Orange Essential Oil).

Lotion Bars
3 oz coconut oil
3 oz beeswax
1.5 oz shea butter
Fragrance or Essential Oil (amount as desired)

#2 Lotion Bar
Lotion Bar
1.5 oz wt Beeswax
1oz wt Cocoa Butter
1.5 oz wt Shea Butter
2 oz wt Almond Oil
1/4 tsp Vitamin E Oil
Fragrance or Essential Oil (amount as desired)
Heat ingredients until melted. Do not over heat (do not boil).
Let cool slightly, add essential or fragrance oils if desired. Pour into container.

Smooth Creamy Body Butter
3 oz wt Cocoa Butter
2oz wt Mango Butter
2oz wt Shea Butter
1oz wt Apricot oil
1 tsp Vitamin E Oil
Fragrance or Essential Oil (amount as desired)
Heat ingredients until melted. Cool slightly and add scented oils
if desired. Pour into container.

Body Butter
4 ounces Cocoa Butter
1 ounce Shea Butter
1/2 ounce Almond Oil
1 teaspoon Vitamin E

Heat Cocoa Butter, Shea and Almond oil in double boiler until all is melted. Remove from heat and let cool slightly - approx. 10 mins. Add the Vitamin E. Add scent if desired. Pour into the molds. Let harden.

Put first 3 ingredients in a double boiler and heat until liquid. Remove from heat and let cool for 5-10 minutes. Add the Vitamin E. Stir in any scent you want until it smells like enough to you, and then pour into the molds. Let harden.

Creamy Full Face & Body Lotion:

40 grams Polowax
25 gramsStearic Acid
2.5 grams Citric Acid
5.0 grams Aloe Vera Gel
75 grams Apricot Kernel Oil
50 grams Almond Oil
25 grams Castor Oil
22.5 grams Glycerin
750 grams Water
3 grams Germall Plus
2 grams Fragrance

Mix all ingredients together in a Pyrex container or double boiler, with the exception of germall plus and fragrance oil. Heat until all waxes are melted and there are no solids left in pot. When all items are fully melted, remove from heat, mix using a stick blender (short bursts). Let cool until no steam is apparent. Let cool until luke warm, mix again with short bursts with hand blender to insure all ingredients are well blended. Pour into bottles.If you prefer to have your lotion coloured, add in colour when lotion base is luke warm. All small amounts of colourant at a time until desired colour is achieved. *Note: The oils given above can be replaced by other oils without changing the formula - as long as the percentages do not change. For thicker lotion, add less water. For Goat Milk Lotion, substitute water for Goat Milk. Monique (owner of the Soap Goat) uses 650 grams of Goat Milk for a nice thick GM Lotion, and adds a smidgen extra Germall Plus to insure a longer life span.
