Please note: all items on this page are made by hand - one by one. Dimensions may vary slightly from mold to mold - from cutters to cutters. Line your wooden soap molds with saran wrap or freezer paper before adding in your soap base. Your soap logs will come out clean and easy! Remove your soap log gently and you won't have to replace your saran wrap/freezer paper for several pours. Our soap cutters are specially made for use with our molds.

4 POUND DUO MOLDS: This mold has two, 2lb sections for a total of 4lbs. You can use one side only, for smaller batches of soap or pour into both sides. This wooden soap mold is great for splitting batches. Scent each half differently, or experiment with different colors, just use your imagination. Our wooden soap molds are made from a high quality 5/8” double-sided Crezon plywood. Crezon plywood is a solid core plywood that has an extremely smooth surface and is very strong. The wood soap mold easily assembles without tools and is equally simple to disassemble for easy removal of the soap and compact storage.

WOOD CUTTER, SHAVER/BEVELLER

BEVELLER/SHAVER (two in one) Small, compact, money saving, space saving and extremely versatile. Our planers are handcrafted in British Columbia Canada. This is a multi-part tool. The shaver can remove the rough or bumpy surface of the tops of your soaps smoothing it to a fine finish. The beveller cleans the edges of your soaps to give that rounded feel to the bar. It removes the sharp corners making for easier “starts” to the bar of soap. You can create a very professional looking bar of soap with this tool. There are two “V” groove slots cut into the beveller that produce a jewelled or bevelled edge on the soap. The slots are at different depths that produce two sizes of bevel depending on your preference. The beveller is made from solid Maple hardwood for durability and strength. Our Wood Molds are made using a special grade of Crezon plywood which should last you a life time, and should only take seconds to assemble and disassemble.

Although you can pour the soap directly into your molds and then disassemble to remove the soap, many soap makers prefer to line their molds for a smoother exterior.

To line the soap mold, we have found two ways which seem the easiest.

1> Place a piece of brown freezer paper. This eliminates having to clean the corners to get a perfect edge and also allows you to simply pull the soap from the mold without having to disassemble it and requires no mold cleanup.

2> When mold is disassembled, line all pieces with Saran Wrap (or any other type of plastic wrap), then assemble your mold as usual. After your soap has cured and is removed from the mold, you simply discard the old Saran wrap and re-wrap the soap mold for your next use.

After you pour your soap into your lined wood soap molds, cover with either a sheet of brown freezer paper, or towels or a blanket to insulate.

Allow the soap to stay in the mold 24 to 48 hours and then remove. Cut into your desired bars using a soap cutter, a knife or a wire cutter. The desired width is generally 3/4" to 1" thick.

These molds can be washed simply with warm water. They will not warp and with proper care could last you a life time! =o)
